Learn to Sew Series (Class 3)
If you have a sewing machine- this is the perfect time to bring it, even if you have never used it. The instructor is well versed in different machines and will assist in learning your specific machine.
If you have no machine- a limited supply will be available to use. Please specify in your reservation if you are bringing a machine or if you need to have one available for use.
In this class you will learn how to:
- Read the pattern package
- Cut out a paper pattern
- How to read the pattern instructions
- Cut out the fabric for your project from the pattern
- How to sew on bias tape
- Information on appliqués, additional trim, embroidery
- Sewing curves, pocket attachments and straps
- Sew an apron
Materials:
- Pattern- this was the one purchased for $3 during class 2
- Fabric needed per pattern specifications
- Additional ‘notions’ needed per pattern specifications
- Straight pins
- Fabric scissors
- Paper scissors
*If you do not have a machine- Please indicate this when you register.
**If you are bringing your machine- PLEASE make sure to bring everything that came with your machine- the instruction manual, all tools/accessories, foot pedal and power cord.
